Want to learn my Complete ClickUp Strategy? Want a process strategy you can easily adapt to systemize your business? Our free workshop, The ClickUp Blueprint, is your next step.

If you're still on the fence as to whether it's worth dropping your email to watch it, this video will give you a preview of how ClickUp Consultant, Layla at ProcessDriven, helps teams set up ClickUp to build stronger business systems.
Hint: It's not nearly as scary as it sounds!
Sneak Peek of the FREE ClickUp Blueprint

In this video, we're showing you a quick clip of our FREE ClickUp Blueprint Training that was released earlier this year. We covered a LOT, so we wanted to give you a small preview of what was covered that day-- and what you could learn from it!
In this ClickUp Training and Process Workshop we covered:
Defining ClickUp's Job
To make us think about ClickUp as the thing that keeps our business running smoothly, we need to give it a clear job description - similar to how we would for an employee.
Connecting Processes
Tie everything we've mapped out in a Process Org Chart, back to the ClickUp Hierarchy.
The Substance of a System
The system is not the software and the software is not the system! (But by creating a strong system separate from the software, together they can do great things.)
Mindset Shift: Your Process Will Never Be "Done"
And you're just going to have to be okay with that. Building your process is an ever-evolving... well... process! ? It'll never be truly complete-- what works for your team this month will grow your business in a way that will affect how you run it next month. But as you continue to build it, it will always be better than it was yesterday. ?
ClickUp Blueprint Preview - Mindset Shift #1

We chose to share a clip from the beginning of this tutorial because it showcases one of the biggest mindset shifts for embracing the power of ClickUp: You've Hired ClickUp as an Acting Manager.
The software is your employee, and you are its employer. This concept is a little tough for some business owners to wrap their heads around - but trust us, once you shift your perception from "we use this software to do x, y and z" to "we've hired this software to handle this project oversight, this integration, and this important piece of our business", your team will be better off for it.
Layla expands on this in the ClickUp Blueprint Preview starting at 02:24.
How to Apply the Old Playbook on Hiring a Manager, to Hiring ClickUp

There are 4 good practices that any business has when it comes to having an acting manager:
The manager has a supervisor they report to - meaning they have someone "above" them that acts a guide and helps them do their job better.
The manager acts as a coach for their direct reports - meaning they make their team's lives easier (if they're doing their job right).
The manager's job is clearly defined and they own responsibilities exclusively - meaning they know exactly what is expected of them, and how to execute on those expectations.
There is a key result by which those expectations are measured.
Most of you would agree that these are all good practices to have when bringing on, or working with, someone in a management position.
But for some reason, when we think of bringing on a software (like ClickUp) to act as a project manager, we assume that it doesn't need as much guidance. We separate it from the role it's been chosen to fill, and undermine it with a lack of strategy and lack of clarity we would never give to a human in that role.
Just like with any hiring process, we bring ClickUp on for a purpose.
Whether it be to keep all of your projects in one place, or to streamline your team's communication around their goals, the software cannot do what it's designed to do (which in ClickUp's pitch is "save you at least a day of work a week") unless you give it clear roles, clear boundaries, and a defined process.
Layla explains this in a little more depth here in the ClickUp Blueprint Preview starting at 04:32.
We're going to stop there for now, but if you want to watch the full ClickUp Blueprint FREE, head over to https://processdriven.co/blueprint/.
Until next time, enjoy the process.
