Introduction
So, you’ve sharpened your ClickUp skills and you’re wondering, “Should I become a ClickUp service provider?”
In this blog, we’ll be going over six avenues you can follow to monetize your ClickUp skills, which include:
- Execution – where you focus on the hands-to-keyboard time and implementing exactly what your client requests
- Setup Services – where you take a broader look at how to design a ClickUp account
- Strategy Audits – where you improve existing workflows and systems inside a ClickUp account
- ClickUp “Using” – where you’re using ClickUp in a client’s account at an expert level
- Digital products – selling templates, IP, courses, etc
- Content – where you create content around using ClickUp and get paid based mostly around ad revenue
No. 1: Execution
This type of ClickUp service provider is the one you see the most often.
It is the most common because the client is telling you exactly what they want instead of doing a deep dive to figure out if it is actually what they need. You don’t need to dive into any high-level strategies or map out workflows since they should already have this covered.
Now, this also means that clients must be prepared to set up their ClickUp account because they need to do all of that deep-thinking and strategy-mapping before they come to you.
You’ll often see a range from $25 to $75 per hour for these types of ClickUp services.

No. 2: Setup Services
This is often the next logical step as a ClickUp service provider since you’re still performing the execution, but you’re offering a little bit of strategy to the mix.
You would be asking them more questions, challenging what the buyer comes to you with, and giving them insights as you go. As you can imagine, working together to create a better ClickUp system can help increase results down the line.
At the same time, keep in mind that you’re going to have clients requesting more from you compared to the previous service offering.
Depending on your clients’ comfortability with ClickUp (and how much training you have built-in), you could easily end up going over the allotted time or budget as you build these out and clients have more demands.
For rates, we typically see around $60 through $300 per hour for this type of work.

No. 3: Strategy Audits
Compared to the others, strategy audits are often delivered in an intensive format. Whether that’s an hour, a day, a weekend, or so on. You sit down and deep-dive into a strategy to figure out what’s working or not working.
This is where we start to see a slight risk to the buyer. Due to the intensive format for these, if you don’t know how to answer a question or help them, you don’t have the time to research and find out. That might mean clients end up with questions unanswered. You’ll need to know your stuff and be on top of your game to make this successful.
Out of all of the options, we’d say this is one of the most stressful between all of them.
On average, a one-hour session is priced anywhere from $100 to $1,000.

No 4: ClickUp “Using” Services
This one is more a bonus on top of what you already do. Often, we’re asked things such as if we know of any VA’s who are also experts at ClickUp.
Instead of having to train someone on how to use ClickUp, you already know how to work with it so clients save time and money.
There’s not a set price for this, but let’s say you should add 10% to your average hourly rate.

No. 5: Digital Products
The fifth way to monetize your ClickUp skills is to bundle your knowledge and find a way to sell it.
Often, we see this through templates being offered for sale. This can also include courses or anything else where your knowledge is bundled but it doesn’t require one-on-one work with you.
Keep in mind, you probably will have more refund requests and support tickets with a low-priced product. Depending on the size of your audience, you will either have a lot of sales or they will slowly trickle in.
Typically, templates sell for around $20 to $50.

No. 6: ClickUp Content
Now, most of you probably already make content to market your business. This is not exactly the type of content we’re talking about. This idea is based on the idea that you’re going to make money through ad revenue instead of getting directly paid from your audience.
This takes the pressure off of providing direct service or dealing with clients. Instead, you sit down and either write a blog, film a video or record a podcast.
Keep in mind, if you focus on this avenue, it’s a volume game. You’ll need a lot of views to justify what time you’re putting in.
Generally, we don’t recommend this as a primary revenue focus, instead, you’ll want this as a bonus or add-on. Content often compounds over time, so keep that in mind as you’re working on building this area of your business.

Bonus: ClickUp Training Services
This type of service is where you provide sessions about how to use ClickUp. This is more of a teaching skill set than a direct client-relation service.
